Order Prescriptions in Scotland

At CarePoint Pharmacy, we aim to make managing your medicines simple and stress-free. If you’re looking to order prescriptions in Scotland, including in Airdrie or Auchinleck, here’s what you need to know about the process and how we can help.

How to Order Prescriptions in Scotland

In Scotland, repeat prescriptions are managed directly through your GP surgery, rather than the NHS app used in other parts of the UK. Patients can:

  • Request repeat prescriptions using their GP practice’s online service
  • Contact their GP surgery by phone or in person
  • Call their local CarePoint Pharmacy branch to request on their behalf

Once approved, your GP can send your prescription to your chosen pharmacy. You can ask them to send it to CarePoint Pharmacy Airdrie or Auchinleck for dispensing.

Choosing CarePoint Pharmacy

Although the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is not available in Scotland, you can still nominate a preferred pharmacy for collection. Let your GP know you would like CarePoint Pharmacy to manage your prescriptions, and we’ll take care of the rest.

If you need help with setting this up, just speak to our team in branch or contact us by phone.

Free Prescription Delivery

We provide free prescription delivery to all patients in Airdrie and Auchinleck — with no eligibility criteria. Whether you’re housebound or simply prefer to have your medicines delivered, this service is available to you.

Please note: Due to daily variations in demand, we cannot offer specific time slots for delivery. We appreciate your understanding.
